Your Role on Our Team

The Manager - IT Global Strategy & Delivery will primarily interface with our Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality Engineering teams to implement standardized and scalable technology solutions with a focus on building the framework for our Industry 4.0 journey at Milwaukee Tool. You will lead technical team members and partner with solution delivery team members, business teams, and project leaders to implement technical solutions in support of Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality Engineering. Accountabilities include managing and implementing key technology specific to Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality Engineering such as Manufacturing Execution System (MES), OEE PLC configuration, statistical process control applications such as WinSPC, database setup and configuration, shop floor visual management tools, IOT connectivity and more.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist the IT Solutions Delivery team in implementing solutions across Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality Engineering.
  • Support North American manufacturing plants with the implementation of scalable technology solutions that drive decisions with data.
  • Launch and help support business facing products and projects while leading highly cross-functional teams to create compelling IT solutions.
  • Foster strong and highly engaged partnerships with senior leadership across the organization.
  • Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Contribute to and facilitate the creation of a big-picture multi-year strategy.
  • Create dashboards and data views to show real-time information.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true need.
  • Leverage industry expertise to achieve best in class solutions.
  • Make recommendations for future-state business processes.
  • Execution and implementation of project/program test plans.
  • Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data requirements.
  • Specific Projects May Include:
    • Early participation in roadmap planning with resourcing tied to early business planning.
    • Assembling framework for Industry 4.0 journey
    • Contribute to and facilitate the creation of a multi-year strategy
    • Contribute to the definition of a globally integrated and accessible systems (i.e., PRC collaboration, file sharing, information sharing, dashboards).
    • Manufacturing Execution System
    • Quality Management System
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field study such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management, or relevant work experience.
  • 6 or more years of relevant work experience in Operations, Business Analysis, and/or Development.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Ability to take accountability and possesses a sense of urgency to build and deliver solutions.
  • Ability to lead multiple concurrent activities with time constraints.
  • Self-Managed, Self-Starter, Team Player who is well organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong professional communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with implementing big-picture standardized scalable solutions in support of Operations and Quality Engineering.
  • Experience with MES, SPC, and OEE software.
  • Experience with programming PLC's, SQL, databases, and IOT applications.
  • Foundational Industry 4.0 knowledge .
  • Experience with implementing MES, SPC, QMS, and OEE, and Business Analytics software.
  • Experience with programming PLC's, SQL, databases, and IOT applications.
  • Experience implementing shop floor visual management, displaying standardized KPIs.
