CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER - 12024
Greenwood, MSThe Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for the implementation of various lean practices by guiding and motivating employees through training and example toward teamwork and long-term sustainable improvement goals.
The main role of a Continuous Improvement Manager is to implement ways to do more with less by driving changes that reduces cost and improves efficiency.
Essential Job Functions:
1.Coach and train employees through change and build a culture of improvement and excellence.
2.Motivate teamwork throughout organizations and cultures.
3.Build the skills of all Functional leaders and associates through hands-on interactions and personal mentoring in lean management tools, cultural change leadership and strategy deployment.
4.Monitor the new improvement process to ensure it works as intended.
5.Drive and track multiple parallel projects.
6.Insure changes are fully integrated through follow-up, perseverance and consistency.
7.Provide feedback and insight to associates on follow-up evaluations of various improvement processes that have been implemented.
8.Recognize and report operational irregularities, defective materials and unusual problems to an Engineer or Value Stream Manager.
9.Adhere to and understand all safety regulations and protocols.
10.Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed.
11.Measures and reports progress on an on-going basis of improvement procedures in process and provide benefits and results upon completion.
12.Manages the CI Engineering team.
13.May occasionally work 2nd or 3rd shift for training and/or observation.

Education/Experience/Knowledge Required
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; Quality Management; Production & Operations Management.
Experience: Five or more years with business process design in continuous improvement efforts preferred; business management skills; process management; and manufacturing processes. Previous leadership experience required.
Skills & Knowledge: Must possess PC skills; have good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; have excellent organizational skills and possess knowledge of production systems and techniques. Must demonstrate excellent analytical and logic thinking skills to understand and analyze complex business processes; and demonstrate skills in the understanding of Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Communication Tools, & Problem Solving.
