The Vest Screen Printing 2nd Shift Supervisor is responsible for the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Skillfully orchestrate production flow, ensuring maximized efficiencies
  • Adhere to and enforce policy, procedural and quality guidelines
  • Track and adjust associates' timecards and schedules as needed
  • Setup, operate and train on late-model, M&R screen printing machinery
  • Interpret and assign print orders to production staff using most efficient methods
  • Approve/deny press proofs according to prescribed quality standards and customer requests
  • Oversee and verify preventative maintenance on machinery
  • Mentor and train new-hires quickly and effectively
  • Effectively communicate with 1st Shift SV, project leaders, engineering dept, operations, others on a daily basis
  • Maintain cleanliness on production floor
  • Compose/maintain comprehensive logs and reports
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety requirements within the work area
  • Practice "5S" methodology
  • Execute daily supply inventory assessments -- document and order when needed
  • Available to occasionally work weekends and "OT"
  • All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience operating and maintaining M&R brand equipment -- preferably including Stryker, Sportsman, i-Image, Uni-Kote, Eco-Tex, Eco-Rinse, etc.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of, and ability to execute, all phases within the textile screen printing process
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Computer proficiency -- extensive experience with Adobe CS, RIP software, Microsoft suite, Kronos, etc.
  • Ability to maintain composure and positivity within a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Accurate color-recognition aptitude a must
  • Ability to swiftly troubleshoot and offer remedies in regard to print defects and mechanical issues
  • Mental agility -- ability to think "on-the-fly" and improvise when necessary
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Team mentality -- works well with dependent departments and Quality team members
  • Exhibits all aspects of the Milwaukee Culture Statement
  • Ability to kneel, crouch and crawl when necessary
  • Not sensitive/allergic to common screen printing chemicals and inks

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ample and diverse experience within the textile screen printing industry
  • Supervisory/management experience over a team of 20+
