Senior Data Specialist -- Customer & Vendor Master Data

Job Description:

This individual will focus on ensuring data integrity, managing complex customer data sets, and providing excellent customer service to various business partners throughout Milwaukee Tool.

This person will work closely with Procurement, Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Service, and IT teams to support business needs related to Customer and Vendor Master Data.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage inflow of daily departmental requests and respond in a professional and timely manner
  • Compile reports, analyze data and conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity
  • Develop interdepartmental relationships with business partners to maintain accurate customer and vendor master data
  • Partner with EDI and Technical teams to support EDI onboarding of new trading partners and resolve errors in a timely manner
  • Perform routine data validations and data management analyses
  • Own quarterly Customer & Vendor Master Data operational metrics to identify and resolve root cause issues
  • Easily adapt to changing needs of finance department and business partners to ensure consistent business partner support
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the process of continuous improvement. Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and streamline processes
  • Support and contribute to the development of automated reporting and audit processes
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple processes and projects, while prioritizing appropriately
  • Identify knowledge gaps and develop tools, processes & models to provide meaningful information to internal customers
    • Develop peer relationship with finance partners to drive consistency in reporting and operational procedures
    • Support large-scale ERP implementation to create scalable solutions for customer & vendor master data

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Computer Science related field; computer science and database experience a plus
    • Minimum 1 year of directly related experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft applications, with advanced Excel knowledge
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
    • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization (written, verbal, presentation, and listening)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or on a team
