OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE MANAGER - 24723
Greenwood, INDuties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with production, engineering, and inventory leadership for driving actions in all Service Hubs.
- Serve as the main point of contact for data, dashboard, and report issues along with leading ops review and KPI meetings.
- Recognize and report operational irregularities and unusual problems to Management Team.
- Conduct root cause and other forms of analysis for any plant issues along with the ability to report out findings and fixes.
- Leader for all dashboards and reporting. Create, identify reporting gaps, maintenance, and train for all reports and dashboards used. Constantly drive action towards management team having data readily available to run operation.
- Provide feedback and insight to associates on follow-up evaluations of various improvement processes that have been implemented.
- Measure and report progress on an ongoing basis of improvement procedures in process and provide benefits and results upon completion.
- Consult with other facility managers and Corporate to coordinate activities, participate in planning objectives and implementation.
- Identify, prepare, and implement improvements within service to support optimum production and quality levels.
- Prepare analyses to measure business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain KPI metric definitions used to map and drive business performance.
- Measure and track key process information used to direct resources.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum of 5 years production or manufacturing experience required
- Must be knowledgeable in computers -- Spreadsheet and Database.
- Continuous improvement background and mindset preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (kaizen, value stream mapping, root cause analysis) and Six Sigma tools preferred.
- Basic knowledge of statistical analyses required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of production systems and techniques (must be able to learn and apply METCO management tools). Must be able to problem-solve and use root cause analysis.
- Solid analytical and planning skills -- Must be capable of breaking down complex requirements into a quantifiable action plan.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Preferred experience in SQL, PowerBI, and other data analytics tools
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
