CNC PROGRAMMER - 20554
Jackson, MiThe CNC programmer is responsible for monitoring quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming control and ensuring quality processes are followed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate multiple CNC and manual machining equipment and workstations
- Write and install CNC programs for machining applications
- Load/unload/inspect components to Operational Method Sheets (OMS) by use of proper gaging equipment
- Make offsets and adjustments as required
- Independently produce samples and first run pieces
- Perform preventative maintenance responsibilities
- Participate in updates of preventative maintenance schedules
- Complete routine equipment and product inspections and complete required documentation
- Investigate and efficiently assist with diagnosis and resolution of equipment and quality problems, production delays or stoppages
- Participate in performing root cause analysis and assist with implementing the best solution.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs. Provide feedback to Maintenance and Facilitator as needed.
- Complete corrective actions as directed
- Inform Facilitator or Department Manager about processes or equipment requiring attention
- Complete documentation as required or requested
- Maintain cell measurement tracking data
- Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
- Practice 5Ss
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints
- Advanced college math skills
- Interpret technical data accurately including engineering drawings and schematics
- Problem solving skills
- Analytical skills
- Basic pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic skills
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Technical certification in a mechanical, electrical automation or related program or equivalent combination of education and experience in maintenance, mechanical or technical field
