PROCESS TECHNICIAN - 25247

Milwaukee Tool continues to grow significantly! We are committed to bringing new products that drive disruptive innovation in the layout and measurement industry. This accelerated growth has provided exciting new opportunities at our manufacturing facility, in West Bend.
 
To support our growth, we are searching for a Process Technician to have direct involvement with start-up, shut down, and troubleshooting of our injection molding processes as well as all related automation equipment. The Process Technician will perform basic programming of Servo robotic equipment and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the automation is operating efficiently.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Assists with setting up injection molding machines and all related auxiliary equipment to allow the manufacture of product that meets or exceeds the established quality levels
  • Provides technical training assistance to shift operators and Set-up Technicians in regards to methods and techniques for troubleshooting process and processing issues, including identification, diagnosis, and resolution of such issues
  • Monitor and/or correct product efficiencies with minimal scrap and proper cycle times
  • Performs and maintains process and post production documentation as required
  • Performs routine quality checks on parts during production, through usage of measuring instruments provided
  • Reads and understands quality standards, control plans, and all pertinent documentation required in producing a quality part to specification
  • Able to assist and support corrective action, cross-functional quality, downtime and scrap
  • Ability to coordinate and lead continuous improvement and 5S projects
 
Education and Experience:
 
  • High School Diploma/GED required; RJG trained and certified preferred
  • 10 years of experience in injection molding plastics required, including 5 or more years with scientific molding technologies, lean manufacturing experience, and/or Six Sigma experience
  • Must be proficient in technical set-up of injection molding machines and working knowledge on establishment of robust processes
  • Ability to interpret part drawings, knowledge of plastic part quality requirements, and computer systems required
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Well-developed and innovative problem solving skills required
  • PLC programming general knowledge preferred
  • CAD experience a strong plus
  • Have the ability to work with minimal direction
  • Proven track record of cost reduction through mechanical process improvements
