Position Overview:

Milwaukee Tool is continuing to grow, and we are seeking a Continuous Improvement Data Analyst to develop and build data-driven tools to support our Continuous Improvement (CI) and Quality Assurance efforts which focus on our business processes. We are looking for Analysts who are detailed-oriented, can build reports/dashboards as well as analyze the data to identify root cause and leading indicators.

This position is a new role but will be a fundamental part of our Continuous Improvement team located in a fast-paced corporate environment. The ideal Continuous Improvement Data Analyst will exhibit a problem-solving mentality, a self-starter attitude, and strong analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, validate, and explore data sets across multiple source systems to Identify root cause and drive recommendations for improvement
  • Break down complicated and diverse data sets into easy-to-digest dashboards that can highlight areas of needed action
  • Collaborate with CI Project Leaders to identify appropriate project metrics and data sources.
  • Support Project Leaders by developing tools to track project impact and monitor sustainment. Establish baseline performance, future target, and gap analysis tools.
  • Advocate for data integrity and support maintenance of the Organization's Data Dictionary
  • Take initiative to build a strong internal network with other data teams to stay current on business data sources, tools, systems, trends, and best practices
  • Perform analysis of current state & provide multiple what-if scenarios. Understand and present financial impacts of these scenarios.
  • Assist with process mining through learning the data models, building dashboards in the software, and identifying opportunities for automation
  • Assist with team SharePoint governance and administration as needed
  • Analyze data from Freedom OEE and SPC
  • Collect, process analyze and report SPC data to drive business decisions

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced Data analysis skills in MS Excel, Power BI, PowerPivot, and VBA
  • Experience with SQL Server and relational data
    • Experience Writing fast and reusable SQL and have QA'd and optimized other people's queries
  • Experience using statistics to generate clear and effective recommendations
  • Experience translating data-speak to external teams (Marketing, Procurement, Operations, etc)
  • Minimum 1-3 years of Education and/or related Business Experience working with Data analysis, Data Visualization techniques, & BI Development tools
  • Bachelor's Degree in the fields of Engineering, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Computer Science preferred
  • Preference given to candidate with Freedom Manufacturing OEE Software experience and statistical software packages (e.g. Minitab, JMP, Weibull++).
  • Preference given to candidate with experience in statistical modeling and/or reliability analysis
