SOURCING ANALYST I - 22676
Byhalia, MSThe Sourcing Analyst I is under the responsibility of and reporting to the OB Master Scheduler. Primary duties include sourcing direct or indirect raw materials, components, assemblies, tooling, capital equipment, and/or services. Balance the required quality, cost, lead-time, and terms to support New Product Development (NPD) and Production; supports cost reductions. This position will interface daily with manufacturing support staff, vendors, and the distribution centers to ensure continuity of supply.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Sourcing Analyst will be the single point of contact for preparation and execution of Request for Purchase (RFP) / Request for Quote (RFQ); analyzes quotations and bids for all purchase requirements to support KMF's needs; drives key metrics such as material variances, excess/obsolete, min/max target levels; works any other issues and expeditions with the supply chain as needed.
- Proactively works with suppliers/vendors in the form of Forecasts, Purchase Orders, Invoices, Quality Problem resolution, and related issues to support the build schedule; conducts and shares cost break down analysis to aide negotiations of per unit costs; drives best overall cost and commercial terms in support of annual budget to support positive material variances; monitors and analyzes supplier/vendor capacity, demand, and quality to ensure integrity of build schedule.
- Initiates correspondences to expedite purchased goods, revises purchase orders, cancellations, disposition of rejected goods, rework costs, adjusts invoice discrepancies, rectifies other related problems; supports the building of relationships with suppliers while delivering business metrics.
- Understands general manufacturing processes, materials, and applications; completes regular reports to drive spend visibility and identifies opportunities for supply base consolidation; works closely with Planners and Master Scheduler to ensure the integrity of the build schedule.

Educational / Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or Business; two or more years in sourcing or related experience, including procurement principles with supply chain management responsibilities.
- Specific coursework or experience in purchasing, materials management, engineering, or quality assurance desirable.
