Your Role on Our Team

As the VP Infrastructure & Operations you will be responsible for the delivery of all IT infrastructure and related IT operations used to enable business capabilities and services across the enterprise. This position provides the vision and strategy to drive next generation infrastructure capabilities and services required to support future solutions and business growth. You will focus on providing highly reliable, secure, and performant infrastructure services to support both internal and customer/end user solutions, advancing the use of modern or emerging technologies (cloud, EDGE computing, IoT, automation, etc.) scaling operations, and partnering closely with security and other leaders. The VP of Infrastructure and Operations is a member of the IT leadership team reporting directly to the CIO.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Set the mission, vision, and strategy of the I&O organization to maximize the success of business and IT enterprise initiatives.
  • Introduce innovative, differentiating infrastructure and operations capabilities that enhance our overall competitive capabilities and enhance employee productivity.
  • Work with the IT senior leadership team and other business areas on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources and develop a multi-year roadmap.
  • Build successful stakeholder relationships with other IT and business leaders by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and ensuring fast, reliable, cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs.
  • Create and align an I&O value map by linking targeted business outcomes with the future-state business capabilities required to achieve them.
  • Develop and control the annual budget to ensure that it's consistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT and the enterprise.
  • Define, develop, and manage a comprehensive and integrated ITSM landscape, based on best-practice processes, disciplines, and related toolsets.
  • Partner closely with the Digital & Information Security team and other business areas as required to embrace and apply security strategy.
  • Operate a formal governance mechanism to establish and monitor effective controls for the processes and functions performed by I&O teams.
  • Provide direction on what emerging technologies should be incorporated into I&O products and services to successfully deliver overall IT strategy.
  • Champion I&O involvement in the IT organization's innovation efforts and its role in experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of business opportunities.
  • Direct I&O sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management.
  • Develop the maturity of I&O to improve efficiency, deliver new innovations and increase collaboration with other business areas (e.g., through Agile and DevOps).
  • Drive the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics.
  • Drive ongoing business continuous improvements through process and technology suggestions. Be an advocate for change that delivers true business value and enables operations to scale with growth.

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree with IT concentration required. An MBA, or other master's degree in related field is preferred.
  • 10 or more years IT experience required, with a minimum of 5 years in a significant IT Leadership role for $5B+ enterprise.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Strong business acumen, including manufacturing and product industry, domain-specific knowledge supporting 7x24x365 operations globally
  • Experience providing and securing infrastructure services to support SaaS and mobile commercial applications separate from internal business systems.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate a vision and plan that inspires and motivates staff and aligns with the IT and business strategy.
  • Partner and collaborate with IT and business leaders to identify opportunities and execute on key initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic staffing plan with the ability to develop staff including coaching, mentoring and performance management.
  • Expertise in budget planning and financial management.
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging I&O technologies and practices, and how other enterprises are employing them.
  • Experience with SOC 2, PCI, ISO, and GDPR and knowledgeable in how to apply I&O capabilities to achieve regulatory or statutory compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in establishing and improving DevOps, as well as other working practices (e.g., ITIL).
  • Experienced in leveraging cloud (at scale), IoT, EDGE computing, "big" data, AI/ML capabilities and other emerging technologies, including establishing governance mechanisms, and evolving target operating model.
  • Leverage metrics and KPIs to track and measure the quality of services and drive service improvement plans.
  • Strong third-party management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders, business concepts to employees, and I&O initiatives and progress across business and IT teams.
